When To Bring In a WordPress SEO Agency
Your WordPress Site Looks Fine.
Search Says Otherwise.
Your SEO Plugin Is Green. Your Rankings Aren’t.
Yoast or Rank Math can catch the basics, but a tidy checklist doesn’t mean the site is technically sound. Indexing issues, weak internal linking, duplicate pages, and template problems can keep organic growth stuck while everything looks “optimized.”
Your WordPress Stack Has Gotten Heavy
WordPress sites rarely get bloated overnight. A new feature here, a redesign there, another plugin to solve a small problem, and suddenly pages carry far more code than they need. That extra weight can slow rendering, trigger conflicts, and drag down Core Web Vitals and crawl efficiency.
Every Fix Seems to Create Another Problem
Have you ever tried changing a theme and ranking wobbles? Or clean up categories and suddenly URLs disappear? When WordPress has grown without an SEO plan behind it, even sensible changes can feel riskier than leaving the mess alone.
Built for WordPress
Why WordPress Needs Its Own SEO Approach
Shopify SEO isn’t generic SEO with a different platform name. It means working with Shopify’s product and collection templates, duplicate URLs, tag pages, apps, speed, redirects, indexation, and Google Shopping visibility, because the platform’s structure directly shapes how search performance turns into revenue.
Flexibility creates hidden SEO problems
WordPress is flexible, which is exactly why SEO problems can hide in so many places. Themes, plugins, page builders, taxonomies, media attachments, and custom templates can all affect how search engines index the site. Add caching layers and years of accumulated updates, and “just install an SEO plugin” stops being a serious strategy.
WordPress SEO goes beyond generic checklists
WordPress SEO is the process of optimizing how a WordPress site is structured, crawled, rendered, indexed, and understood by search engines, while accounting for the platform’s themes, plugins, templates, taxonomies, page builders, and performance layers that generic SEO checklists often miss.
Fix, rebuild or migrate: knowing which your site needs
Sometimes the right answer is to clean up the existing setup. Sometimes it’s a theme rebuild. And occasionally, the platform itself has become the constraint. A good WordPress SEO company should know the difference before recommending a migration.

The Solution
Our WordPress SEO Services
WordPress gives you plenty of control, but that also means plenty can go wrong behind the scenes. OMG tackles all performance issues that plugins alone can’t fix.
Technical WordPress Optimization
We clean up crawlability, indexing, canonicals, redirects, XML sitemaps, and duplicate URLs so Google spends its time on the pages you actually want ranking.
Speed & Core Web Vitals
Heavy themes, page builders, plugins, and third-party scripts can drag performance down. We identify the real bottlenecks and prioritize fixes that move Core Web Vitals.
On-Page SEO
Titles, headings, internal links, schema, and content all need to work together. We optimize the signals Google reads while keeping pages useful for your human audiences.
WordPress Architecture & Templates
Categories, tags, attachment pages, Gutenberg templates, and custom post types can create clutter fast. We tighten site structure so important pages get more authority and thin ones stay out of the way.
Content & Authority
We build content around real search demand, then strengthen it with internal linking and quality backlinks. Every page should earn its place, not exist because someone said you needed another blog post.
WooCommerce SEO
Running WooCommerce? We optimize the commerce layer too, including product and category structure, duplicate content, internal linking, schema, and the technical issues that can quietly suppress organic revenue.
How It Works
From Audit To Organic Growth
At OMG, you won’t get a hundred-line audit dumped in your inbox with a “good luck.” We identify what’s holding your WordPress site back,
rank the work by impact, and make each next step clear.
We dig into your WordPress setup, including crawlability, indexing, templates, plugins, page builders, site speed, and Core Web Vitals.
We map current rankings, traffic, conversions, competitors, and technical performance so there’s a clear starting point for measuring progress.
Not every warning deserves developer time. We separate genuine growth blockers from technical noise and build the roadmap around what matters most.
We work through the highest-impact technical, structural, and on-page issues, collaborating with your existing developer where needed.
With the foundation stronger, we expand content, internal linking, and authority around the searches most likely to produce leads and revenue.
Gurulytics keeps performance visible while we refine the strategy around what’s gaining ground and where the next opportunity is.

WordPress SEO FAQs
WordPress gives you a solid starting point, but it isn’t automatically optimized for search. Themes, templates, taxonomies, plugins, page speed, internal linking, and indexing settings can all change how well a site performs. Think of WordPress as giving you the controls. Someone still needs to set them properly.
No. Yoast and Rank Math are useful tools for managing basics like metadata, sitemaps, schema settings, and indexation controls. They can’t diagnose every crawl issue, fix a bloated theme, untangle plugin conflicts, improve your site architecture, or decide which pages deserve to rank. A green light is helpful. It just isn’t an SEO strategy.
They can affect performance, but using a page builder doesn’t automatically mean poor SEO. The real issue is what the builder, theme, plugins, scripts, and hosting produce together. That’s because excessive code or oversized assets can hurt Core Web Vitals. We look at the actual bottlenecks before blaming the builder.
WordPress SEO covers the wider site, including crawlability, templates, content, internal linking, speed, and indexation. WooCommerce SEO adds commerce-specific challenges such as product and category architecture, filters, duplicate URLs, product schema, discontinued products, and conversion-focused search intent. Same platform, different technical workload.
It depends on what’s holding the site back. Fixing a major indexing or technical problem can produce movement relatively quickly, while competitive rankings, content growth, and authority usually take months to build. OMG will separate quick wins from longer-term work upfront so you know what progress should realistically look like.
Only when the current setup is genuinely limiting performance or growth. A rebuild isn’t automatically better, and changing themes without an SEO migration plan can put existing rankings at risk. We first determine whether the problem needs a cleanup, a new theme, a partial rebuild, or something more substantial.
Absolutely. In many cases, that’s the best setup. We identify and prioritize the SEO requirements, explain the reasoning, and work with your developer on implementation where needed.
That would depend on the size of the site, its technical condition, competition, goals, and how much implementation is required. A straightforward professional-services site won’t need the same scope as a large WordPress installation with years of technical debt. We recommend the work that makes commercial sense rather than squeezing every site into the same retainer.
